Privacy Policy
1. The short version
- This website collects personal information only when you send the Request a Feature form.
- The Artifactry app stores your email address, the files you save and the information needed to run your library securely.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use your files to train AI models.
- Artifactry is a free beta. This policy covers both this website and the app.
2. Information from this website
The Request a Feature form
When you send the form, we collect your name, email address, feature title, description and chosen priority. The form is processed by Splitforms, which delivers it to us by email and stores it in our Splitforms dashboard. We use it only to read your request, reply to you, and plan the product.
Everything else on this website
We don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this website. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
3. Information from the Artifactry app
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address, name and profile picture (optional) | Your account, sign-in codes and showing who did what to your team |
| Files and the details you add (titles, tags, descriptions, versions) | Storing, searching, previewing and sharing your library |
| Text extracted from your files | Search, including semantic search, and tag suggestions |
| Workspace, team and sharing settings | Deciding who can access what |
| Connected AI apps, their permissions and the app name each reports | Running connections and recording which AI acted on your behalf |
| Usage events (views, downloads, where seen) | Usage analytics for owners and admins. Unique viewers are counted with a key that rotates daily, with no fingerprinting. |
| Audit records of significant actions | Security, accountability and troubleshooting |
| Technical data (IP address, browser, timestamps) | Rate limiting, abuse prevention and keeping the Service running |
Sign-in codes, session tokens, share links and AI tokens are stored only as one-way hashes.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Artifactry, and only what they need:
- Cloudflare: hosting, file storage, databases, search indexing and AI processing for embeddings.
- Our email delivery provider: sending sign-in codes and share notifications.
- Splitforms: receiving Request a Feature submissions.
- Google Fonts: serving the fonts on this website.
- AI apps you connect: they receive what you or they request through the connection, under their own privacy policies.
- People you share with: they see the items you choose to share.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the Service, in which case this policy continues to apply.
5. How long we keep it
- Feature requests: as long as they're useful for planning the product, then deleted.
- Account and library data: while your account is active. Deleted artifacts are removed from your library and their shares revoked; stored copies are cleared on a rolling basis.
- Sessions expire after 30 days; sign-in codes after 10 minutes.
- Audit and security records: as long as needed for security and legal purposes.
6. Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile, delete artifacts, revoke shares and disconnect AI apps in the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, contact us as described below. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, hashed secrets, access checks inside every query, rate limits and sandboxed HTML previews. No service can promise perfect security, especially during a beta, so please keep your own copies of anything critical.
8. International transfers
Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
9. Children
Artifactry isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy as the Service changes and revise the date above. For significant changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, including access, correction, deletion or export of your information, email us at admin@artifactry.app.
